What performance can I expect from Structr?

When installed on decent hardware, Structr is capable to serve HTML pages and JSON documents with typical response times of just a few milliseconds.

The typical page rendering performance on a quad-core Intel Core i7 4 GHz with fast RAM and SSD is in the range of 3,000 requests/second.

When comparing these numbers with other systems or applications, please take into account that Structr is not just a database or application framework delivering static or pre-computed content to its clients. For each request to the backend, authentication is checked based on a session id, HTTP header parameters or HTTP basic authentication information. Depending on the accessing user, the content is assembled dynamically based on the individual access rights of the user.
